Online donation policies
These policies apply to gifts made to Wantok Radio Light through our website, wantokradio.org. Please read them before you give.
Terms & Conditions
1. About us
This website is operated by Wantok Radio Light, PNG Christian Broadcasting Network ("Wantok Radio Light", "we", "us", "our"), Gerehu Stage 2, Sivari Road, Section 378, Lot 6, Port Moresby, National Capital District, Papua New Guinea. By making a donation through this website you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Donations are voluntary gifts
A donation is a free-will gift to support the Christian radio ministry of Wantok Radio Light, including broadcasting, programs, equipment, transmitter sites and building projects. No goods or services are sold or delivered in exchange for a donation.
3. Currency and amounts
All donations are in Papua New Guinea Kina (PGK). If you give with a card issued outside Papua New Guinea, your bank may convert the amount into your own currency and may charge its own fees. Wantok Radio Light does not control those rates or fees.
4. How payments are processed
Card payments are processed by our bank's secure online payment gateway. Your card details are entered on the bank's secure payment page and are never seen or stored by Wantok Radio Light. A payment is complete only when the payment gateway approves it. You may also give by bank transfer or deposit to the accounts shown on our Support page.
5. Your responsibilities
- You must be the holder of the card or bank account you use, or be authorised by the holder to use it.
- You must give correct information (name, phone or email) so we can confirm your gift and contact you if needed.
- You must check the amount before you confirm the payment.
6. Monthly gifts
If you choose a monthly gift, you agree that the same amount may be charged each month until you cancel. You can cancel or change a monthly gift at any time by contacting us (see below) at least 5 working days before the next payment date.
7. How your gift is used
Gifts are used for the ministry of Wantok Radio Light. Where a gift is made for a particular project or appeal (for example Share-a-thon or the Studio Building), we use it for that purpose. If that project is fully funded or cannot go ahead, we may use the gift where it is most needed in the ministry.
8. Receipts
You will see a confirmation on screen after a successful payment, and you can ask us for a written receipt at any time. Wantok Radio Light does not give tax advice; please check with your adviser or the Internal Revenue Commission whether your gift is tax deductible.
9. Fraud and misuse
We may refuse or cancel a donation that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, unauthorised or linked to unlawful activity, and we may report it to our bank and the relevant authorities.
10. Website availability and liability
We do our best to keep this website and the payment service available and correct, but we cannot promise it will always be free of interruptions or errors. To the extent allowed by law, Wantok Radio Light is not liable for any indirect loss arising from the use of this website.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version shown on this page when you give is the version that applies to your donation.
12. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Papua New Guinea.
↑ Back to topPrivacy Policy
Wantok Radio Light respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you give online or use this website, and how we look after it.
1. Information we collect
- Donation details: your name (unless you choose to give anonymously), phone number or email, the amount, how often you give, the date and a donation reference number.
- Payment details: card numbers and security codes are entered only on our bank's secure payment page. We do not receive or store your full card details. The bank tells us only whether the payment succeeded, with a transaction reference.
- Other forms: if you send a prayer request, song request, TokSave or pledge, we receive the details you type into that form.
2. How we use your information
- to process and record your donation and match it to your reference;
- to thank you, send a receipt and answer your questions;
- to keep proper financial records and meet our legal and audit duties.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Who we share it with
Only with those who help us run the service: our bank and its payment gateway (to process your payment), and Google Firebase, which securely stores donation records for our staff. We may also share information if the law requires it.
4. How we protect it
This website uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. Donation records can only be viewed by authorised Wantok Radio Light admin staff with a personal login.
5. How long we keep it
We keep donation records for as long as we need them for accounting and legal purposes (normally 7 years), then delete them.
6. Cookies and storage
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may save small settings (for example your last chosen page) on your own device only.
7. Your choices and rights
You can give anonymously. You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, except where we must keep it for financial records. Contact us using the details below.
8. Children
Online donations should be made by adults (18 years or older) or with the permission of a parent or guardian.
↑ Back to topRefund / Return Policy
Because donations are voluntary gifts and no goods are sold, there is nothing to return. Donations are generally not refundable, except in the cases below.
1. When we will refund
- You were charged more than once for the same gift (duplicate payment).
- The amount charged is different from the amount you chose (for example, you typed K500 instead of K50).
- Your card was used without your permission.
- A technical error on our website or the payment gateway caused a wrong charge.
2. How to ask for a refund
- Contact us within 30 days of the payment date.
- Give your name, the date, the amount, your donation reference (or the last 4 digits of the card) and the reason.
- We will reply within 5 working days.
3. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are paid back to the same card or account that was used for the gift, for the same amount in Kina. Depending on your bank, it can take up to 10–15 working days for the money to appear. We do not give refunds in cash or to a different card.
4. Monthly gifts
You can stop a monthly gift at any time. Please contact us at least 5 working days before the next payment date. Payments already made before you cancel are not refunded, unless one of the cases in section 1 applies.
5. Bank transfers and deposits
For gifts made by bank transfer or deposit in error, contact us with the bank slip or transfer reference and we will work with you and the bank to correct it.
